Yes, I've been to paradise, but I've never blogged. So here goes.
I've worked for the last 13 years in a variety of jobs that have been predominantly Internet focused, including the early genesis of the Internet in Australia, AARNet, the deployment of AARNet2, and UTS data network.
Whilst building and running these networks I also ran the essential services such as Firewalls, SMTP, DNS, network monitoring, and web, all on Sun Solaris platforms.
These days my interests lie more in the systems area, focusing on developing the infrastructure and tools for deploying and managing large numbers of Solaris servers.
In this blog I intend to write about Solaris configuration tips, advanced jumpstart installation tricks, tools and code snippets I've written, as well as my own personal projects.
Happy New Year!
